Folk Remedies for Sunburn

An interesting site that lists folk remedies for sunburn. My mom used this one:

Apple Cider Vinegar: Apply apple cider vinegar to the burn with a cottonball, or make a cooling compress for a large area to relieve the pain. Keep the skin moistened. This remedy will prevent blistering and peeling.

With my children, I filled the bathtub with tepid water and poured a small bottle of vinegar for the kids to soak in for about 20 minutes.

I'm not endorsing all of these folk remedies, but I do know that my mom and grandmother had wonderful home solutions to many ailments. Check the list out here: Health911.com

I have always used vinegar, even on my own sunburns. It takes the heat out of sumburned shoulders-- even toes:) I dabbed it directly on with cotton balls.
